| The
Kurfürstendamm is Berlins most popular shopping mile. It is located
in the west of the city and can easily be reached by the U-Bahn (U9
or U15). All major brands can be found on this street along with
smaller local shops and boutiques. The legendary Kaufhaus des
Westens, Berlin's biggest and most fashionable shopping mall is only
a five minutes walk away.
The area surrounding the Friedrichstraße, in the Mitte area, is also a very popular shopping district. A must-see is the Galleries Lafayette, a very elegant shopping mall with a unique architecture offering clothing and accessories of all major brands.
